Inside the Links Golf Lab

In the lab ball flight is simulated via a high definition projector onto a large 4mx3m screen. The launch monitor provides all the crucial club and ball data invaluable for swing analysis and equipment performance evaluation. We use Foresight Sports GC2 HMT to analyse club and ball data for lessons and club fitting.

Swing Analysis Software

Our GASP Lab Analysis Video Software offers the opportunity to analyse swing movement as never before.

High Speed cameras

We utilise the latest high speed cameras that provide up to 500 frames per second, providing more than 1500 still images per swing. This compares with 50 frames per second offered by standard camera solutions.

DeDicated Putting Facility

The Links Golf Lab is Cambridgeshire and Suffolk’s premier putting academy, suitable for all calibres of golfers looking to improve their putting. A purpose built putting platform with a high speed putting surface provides the very best conditions to analyse putting bio-mechanics and ball roll. We use Quintic Ball Roll, Capto and GASP’s high speed camera system to capture data. If you desire to putt like the best golfers in the world, at the Links Golf Lab we can design a tailored putting lesson plan to achieve your goal.

Quintic ball roll

At the Links Golf Lab we are an Accredited Ball Roll Centre, with a Level 2 Accredited coach, Jonny Sharkey. Quintic Ball Roll Systems offer fast and accurate information for both the club and ball, without any attachments affecting either the club or the player!

Quintic Ball Roll utilises a high-speed camera (360 - 1080 frames per second) to track the putter and golf ball throughout the impact zone of either a right handed or left handed player. The system automatically measures over 45 parameters regarding the putter and ball, both graphically and numerically. The data is instantly displayed within the software for immediate analysis, review and intervention.

We have two practice ranges, a short game green with bunkers and two putting greens. There is a two bay range shelter fitted with mirrors if the British weather demands!
